The Softways
The Softways wager allows a player to make “Place Bets” on “The Hardways”. The bet wins if the selected doubles are rolled before a seven is rolled. The number being rolled easy would not be a loss. The payoff is 5 to 1, or the player can buy it for 5% commission and be paid the true odds (6 to 1).This wager can handled by the dealers very easily and will not slow down the play of the table at all.
Place Bets on The Hardways ( The Softways)
a. If a hard four (2,2) is rolled before a seven is rolled. The wager wins and is paid.
If a seven is rolled before a hard four is rolled the wager is a loss and is collected
b. If a hard six (3,3) is rolled before a seven is rolled. The wager wins and is paid.
If a seven is rolled before a hard six is rolled the wager is a loss and is collected
c. If a hard eight (4,4), is rolled before a seven is rolled. The wager wins and is paid.
If a seven is rolled before a hard eight is rolled the wager is a loss and is collected
d. If a hard ten (5,5) is rolled before a seven is rolled. The wager wins and is paid.
If a seven is rolled before a hard ten is rolled the wager is a loss and is collected
Casino Edge with a payoff of 5 to 1
1/(6 + 1) x (5/1 – 6/1)
= 1/7 x 1 =.1428 =14.28%
Note: The casino edge is the same for any double: (1,1 2,2 3,3 4,4 5,5 6,6)
